10/14 Loving Me: Self-Care Party

On Saturday, October 14th God's Girls experienced a wonderful Self-Care Party. The girls were given amazing resource kits to aid in their daily personal care needs and ensure they are challenged to develop routines. Parents should promote self-care to assist girls in creating moments of personal appreciation. By promoting self-care the odds of improving self-esteem are increased and girls become more aware of themselves. Looking in the mirror, positive self-talk, and learning to love themselves were the empowerment teachings offered by Dr. Mary Archibald and Evangelist Alisha Landrum. Our education specialist, Mary Young, spoke with the girls concerning visions and dreams. Each girl created a dream board and spoke on their goals to accomplish their purpose as desired. We look forward to continued success for this outreach!

WOW! Getting the girls back to school has been amazing. The first day pictures were beautiful. I can say that moms are real troopers to the school shopping, tax free holiday and all we do to get prepared. Its really a need for a vacation when they start school but watching the grow to that next stage is so very rewarding. Shout out to all the moms who made it to the first day of school and are ready to conquer the next battle...CHRISTMAS!!! ~ Evg. T. Alisha Landrum
